Abstract

This work aims to estimate a multivariate model of the demand for money in Argentina during the period 1993-2006, incorporating the aforementioned non-traditional determinants to the classic determinants. This task will also include an analysis of the cointegration between the selected variables. The central hypothesis of the work is the existence of a significant cointegration relationship between the variables that allows estimating a single equation for the entire period that takes into account short-term dynamics and long-term imbalances.
