Abstract

Although best known for his ideas related to terms of trade and industrialization, Raúl Prebisch was also responsible for the design and implementation of the initiatives that allowed Argentina to recover from the Great Depression. This article reviews the different fiscal, monetary, exchange, commercial and financial policies promoted by Prebisch from the late 1920s to the early 1940s.
