Factor characteristics of manufacturing exports: Analysis of the Argentine case
Keywords:
Argentina, Foreign Trade, Manufacturing ExportsAbstract
Our purpose in this article is to quantify the impact of Argentine manufacturing exports and their different composition according to destinations on the factors of production demand: labor, capital and imported inputs. The estimates are made on the basis of two methodologies: evaluating direct and indirect impacts of manufacturing exports on employment and demand for imported inputs for the years 1955 and 1963, and evaluating the direct effects on the demand for labor and physical capital for the years 1963 and 1973.
